SL749 Hi-Adventure Xtreme Packer
CAUTION: Any luggage item that is not properly secured can become a distraction to the rider, resulting in a lack of concentration and a potentially hazardous situation. A loose bag drawn into the wheel can cause serious injury or death.
We recommend that once installation is completed, you make a test run at a low speed to ensure that the bag has not shifted around.
Place the Packer on the bike seat. Move it front or back to a position that will be comfortable to the rider. On either side towards the bottom is one strap that needs to be anchored to the rear foot peg. The straps are extra long and need to be cut to the desired length. Once done, burn off the ends with a matchstick away from the bike or any other flammable source.
The Packer has four retractable bungees with removable hooks at the ends. Attach these hooks under the seat, fender or other secure area. If your bike comes with mounting hooks, you can attach the bungees directly onto the bike hooks (if so, you will not need the hooks that come with the bungees they are easily removable). Never secure them to any moving part. Be certain that the cords have sufficient tension to hold the Packer securely. If they are loose, adjust the cords by tying knots at the cord ends inside the bag.
The adjustable straps at the top of the Packer can be used to secure a tent, sleeping bag or other items. Please ensure that the straps are cinched down tight.
The optional rain cover must fit securely over the bag. Be sure to dry the cover before storing to prevent mildew. Be certain to detach the shoulder strap so that it does not hang loose.
Be Safe! Check periodically that the straps have not loosened and that the bag sides are not touching any moving parts & enjoy the ride!
