CAUTION: Any luggage item that is not properly secured can become a distraction to the rider, resulting in a lack of concentration and a potentially hazardous situation. A loose bag drawn into the wheel can cause serious injury or death.

We recommend that once installation is completed, you make a test run at a low speed to ensure that the bags have not shifted around.

The two top straps go across the rear seat (on some models they can be placed under the seat). These need to be adjusted so that the bags are close to the sides. The top straps allow the bags to be mounted flush, lower than or even higher than the seat.

The top straps are attached to the sides of the bags and they loop (thread) through top D rings. This set-up allows mounting flush to the seat or lower than the seat. If you want to attach the bags in a higher than seat configuration (that is if you want maximum distance from the pipes) then you open the straps and take them out of the top D rings. When the straps do not go through the top D rings you can adjust the bags to sit much higher.

There is one strap on each side, which attaches to the rear foot pegs. It is extra long and needs to be cut to the needed length. Once done, burn off the ends with a matchstick away from your bike or any other flammable source.

The strap at the back goes across your rear fender. The design calls for only one strap. The extra D rings is for applications when a fender eliminator kit is used and the strap needs to be moved up.

The top straps keep the bags from falling down, the rear strap keeps it from moving forward and the foot peg straps keep it from moving back. Please ensure all straps are tight and snug to get a good fit.

Be Safe! Check periodically that the straps have not loosened. Saddle bags should not touch any moving parts & enjoy the ride!
